Research on Nikki Grimes

While researching information on Nikki Grimes, the author of our next book, The Bronx Masquerade, I found that she has her own website which is www.NikkiGrimes.com. On this website I found that she actually has just written a book about Barack Obama entitled, Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope. This book has actually become 2nd on the New york times best seller list. I also learned through exploring her website that most of her books are based off of her life. The characters in her books were often based off family members or friends. I believe she writes mostly novels including African American characters. Since she bases all of her novels on her life, I consider her to be an insider.
